The UEC has kept open since June 3 the registrations for the master’s race of the European Cyclo-cross Championships. These races will be held on 1 November in Pontevedra, on the Illa das Esculturas circuit. It will be the first time that cyclists with a master’s licence aged 35 and over will be able to take part in the European Championships, riding with their team and not for national teams.
In this way, the participation of cyclists will practically double in an event contested by national teams and whose current champions are Michael Vanthourenhout (Belgium) and Fem van Empel (Netherlands) in the elite category.
In addition, the European Cyclo-cross Championships, which will be held on 1, 2 and 3 November in the Illa das Esculturas in Pontevedra, will have free access to the public thanks to the City Council of Pontevedra.
CX Pontevedra and the Federación Ciclismo Galego will continue to carry out promotional activities to ensure that the 2024 European Championships in A Boa Vila will be a sporting and attendance success.
